The Proxies are an Indie Folk Duo originating from London, UK. Whilst bringing the Indie Folk of the early 2000s into the modern day, The Proxies explore heartache, the impermanence of purpose, and the complexities of surviving the fall into adult life.

Jack Schwab and Brad Wilmot have known and played music together since they were 14 years old. After helping each other go through their own individual musical journeys, they finally decided to make it official in early 2024; a duo.

Following their debut album, "Anything, Everything" in May, this concert will be a celebration of their long-time collaboration and the music that has come from it.

Accompanying The Proxies, will be multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Luke Matthews on the piano. His recent gigs include The Pheasantry, The Roundhouse, Camden Assembly, The Piano Lounge, St Moritz Club, Sofar Sounds, Underbelly, Smithfield and many more. His performance at the Edinburgh Festival had him singled out in Edinburgh Festival radio as ‘one to watch’.

The support act will be Lilybud, a fierce and powerful protest singer and gospel-blues vocalist, born in Camden Town, London. Her voice has been a permanent fixture in the streets that raised her. Both spellbinding and commanding, over her career she has performed alongside Billy Bragg at Glastonbury Music Festival, toured Japan as a solo artist, sung in Oman, and Milan alongside the legendary Sarah Jane Morris, performed with The 100 Club Band of Holy Joy, and had a many a year on the road with the rock legends Doctors of Madness and Richard Strange. A diverse artist, poet, radio presenter, and musician, she uses her powerhouse vocals to send an unflinching message of resistance against austerity, poverty, and injustice. Hailed as “modern Dylan” and “the greatest songwriter of her generation” by Johny Brown (BOHJ), she embodies the spirit of defiance and empowerment, reminding women to take up space and never be silenced. With roots in Romany magic from her mother’s side and a South London cockney wheeler-dealer father, one of 7 siblings, music has always been a force of magic in her life. Never has it been so important to spread joy, love and awareness through art. Currently writing her new album, set for release in autumn 2025, Lilybud continues to be a resounding voice for change.
