JPSM Presents Lilybud, a fierce and powerful protest singer and gospel-blues vocalist, born in Camden Town, London. Her voice has been a permanent fixture in the streets that raised her. Both spellbinding and commanding, over her career she has performed alongside Billy Bragg at Glastonbury Music Festival, toured Japan as a solo artist, sung in Oman, and Milan alongside the legendary Sarah Jane Morris, performed with The 100 Club Band of Holy Joy, and had a many a year on the road with the rock legends Doctors of Madness and Richard Strange. A diverse artist, poet, radio presenter, and musician, she uses her powerhouse vocals to send an unflinching message of resistance against austerity, poverty, and injustice. Hailed as “modern Dylan” and “the greatest songwriter of her generation” by Johny Brown (BOHJ), she embodies the spirit of defiance and empowerment, reminding women to take up space and never be silenced. With roots in Romany magic from her mother’s side and a South London cockney wheeler-dealer father, one of 7 siblings, music has always been a force of magic in her life. Never has it been so important to spread joy, love and awareness through art. Currently writing her new album, set for release in autumn 2025, Lilybud continues to be a resounding voice for change.
