The Motherfucker with the Hat

Welcome to Judith Elster Productions presentation of The Motherfucker with the Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis

A darkly hilarious New York story about love, loyalty, addiction, and one very suspicious hat.

Jackie is fresh out of prison, determined to stay clean and get his life back on track. But when he discovers an unfamiliar hat in his girlfriend Veronica’s apartment, suspicion sets off a chain reaction of jealousy, betrayal, and spectacularly bad decisions.

Written by acclaimed playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis, The Motherfucker with the Hat earned six Tony Award nominations for its original Broadway production, including Best Play.

Now, director Judith Elster and a talented ensemble bring this razor-sharp, darkly comic story back to an intimate New York stage.

Featuring: Oscar Alejandro Guevara, Judith Elster, Joe Beaton, Diego Cornejo, and Lana Ayrapetyants.
