People's Emergency Briefing on Climate and Nature - Shepton Mallet

Tue 6 Oct 2026 7:00 PM - 9:15 PM St Paul's CofE Junior School, BA4 5LA

Heatwaves. Flash floods. School closures. What’s happening to our weather?

In the past few weeks we’ve experienced heatwaves, flash flooding and school closures.

These events can leave us wondering: Is this becoming the new normal? What does it mean for our families, our neighbourhood and the places we love?

Come along to the film screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing on climate and nature — an open, local event. Following the film there will be an opportunity to make sense of what’s happening locally and explore what we can do together, our local MP Tessa Munt will join us  along with Somerset Wildlife Trust as we discuss what these changes mean for Shepton Mallet and what collective action we need to take.

No specialist knowledge needed. Everyone is welcome.

Doors will open from 6.30pm / film showing will start promptly at 7pm

Location

St Paul's CofE Junior School, BA4 5LA
