Perfect for dog owners, walkers, pet sitters and anyone working with dogs, this hands-on session combines presentation, demonstration and practical learning to cover essential canine first aid skills.

Topics covered include:
• CPR and emergency response
• Bandaging and wound care
• Choking and breathing difficulties
• Heatstroke and common canine emergencies
• Checking pulse, breathing and other vital signs
• Knowing when to seek veterinary assistance

Participants will also have the opportunity to practice basic techniques, learn emergency response skills, and carry out health checks and monitor vital signs on a live dog.

Well-behaved dogs can be accommodated if required; however, attendees are encouraged to attend without their dog where possible to ensure the best learning environment for all participants.
