Full day OEAP Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC) Training - Kendal

Wed 21 Oct 2026 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM

This training will be held at Crooklands/Kendal.

The aim of this full day course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to enable them to effectively carry out the role of EVC.

The Outdoor Education Adviser’s Panel (OEAP), leaders in developing good practice off-site, strongly recommend that any organisation which takes children on trips without their parents should have someone in the role who is able to champion learning and personal development off-site and has the professional qualities and training to support their visit leaders. Although the law no longer requires a school to appoint an EVC, most Local Authorities require community and controlled schools to retain a competent person in the role.

Course Content:

  • Benefits of and barriers to taking children out of school
  • Legal expectations
  • Planning and leading visits
  • Scenario analysis
  • Monitoring and evaluating visits

The full day course is suitable for newly appointed EVCs or anyone who has never done an OEAP accredited EVC course before.

Price:

  • KAHSC Subscriber - £125 + VAT
  • Non-subscriber - £145 + VAT
