The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires employers to have a strategy to evacuate all occupants within any building. Fire Wardens are valuable in any size of premises but are particularly vital for larger ones, and play an integral part in coordinating and implementing a settings evacuation plan in an emergency situation.
This half day course should be attended by anyone who may hold Fire Warden responsibilities including teaching and non-teaching staff, site managers and care takers, managers etc.
The aim of this training is to ensure that delegates have access to up-to-date information relating to Fire management. Each course will include:
- An understanding of Fire
- How to reduce risks in your setting
- What to do when the fire alarm sounds
- What to do if you find a fire
- Locations of fire exits, exit routes and the operation of exit devices
- Knowledge and development of Fire evacuation procedures
- Correct and safe selection and use of fire extinguishers including practical use in their use.
