A talk and guided discussion by movement strategist and XR co-founder Roger Hallam, who will argue that revolution is:
- Inevitable: The rise in global temperatures above 1.5 degrees, social disruption and collapse are now locked in
- Justified: the elites have locked in the greatest crime in human history and have to be removed from power; and
- Effective: only regime change will save what is to be saved in time.
Roger will challenge the idea that revolution and reform are compatible, but rather a zero sum game. He will also describe what nonviolent democratic revolution would look like as an alternative to the descent into various forms of fascism.
This talk was originally scheduled for December, but was postponed after Roger was arrested in relation to Just Stop Oil and held on remand.
