Kana Kernow SINGING WORKSHOP and CONCERT with the HELEN CHADWICK GROUP 'Songs of Returning'
Sun 14 Apr 2024 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Marazion Community Centre, TR17 0HW
Description
SONGS OF RETURNING by the Helen Chadwick Group
Be immersed in song at this in-the-round concert (5.30 - 6.30pm) with the Helen Chadwick Group. Helen has created site-specific choral events for the Royal Opera House, Salisbury Cathedral and Greenwich Festival, and now brings SONGS OF RETURNING to the South West: songs with fabulous harmonies, songs to uplift the spirit, songs to move the soul, songs to wake us up, songs to dream to and songs that are joyous and funny, performed by Clara Atkins, Helen Porter, Zara Ramm, Emily Roblyn and Helen Chadwick.
In the workshop (2.30 - 4.45pm) Helen Chadwick will teach us some of the songs from the performance and Helen Porter will develop and refine our singing of these stunning harmonies. The two Helens are long term friends and collaborators who have worked on song-theatre shows composed by Chadwick for the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre.
