SINGING WORKSHOP with Dr KATHY BULLOCK from the USA
Sat 5 Oct 2024 10:00 AM - 4:15 PM
Marazion Community Centre, TR17 0HW
Description
Personal note: having had the honour and joy of travelling and singing with Dr Kathy Bullock on our trip to South Africa earlier this year, I am delighted - via Kana Kernow (Singing Cornwall), and by collaborating with Jane Harris from Songways, Bath - to be able to invite Kathy to West Cornwall for the first time. This event is very likely to be over-subscribed ... do book early if you're keen :-).
Join us for a fabulous day singing with Dr Kathy Bullock, the world-renowned gospel leader from Berea, Kentucky. Kathy will lead us in spirituals and gospel music, weaving history into the singing as we explore the connections between African American music, history, and its African origins. Kathy is an amazing singer, workshop leader and pianist. In all of her work, she shares infectious joy and inspires heartfelt connections as she celebrates the transcending power of love and spirit through music.
