Danish Advent Candle Wreath Workshop

In Denmark, the countdown to Christmas is a time to slow down, light a candle, and savour the season. December is filled with simple, cosy traditions that bring warmth and light to the darkest days of the year, capturing the true spirit of hygge.

• Create your own beautiful table centrepiece or ‘Adventskrans’ in this guided workshop with experienced wreath maker Karina Jones who has a Danish background.
• Immerse yourself in a true feeling of ‘hygge’ as you enjoy crafting with pine and seasonal decorations whilst enjoying the company of others.
• This guided workshop will help you unleash your imagination and create a unique wreath for your table that reflects your personal style.
• All equipment is provided. Basic white dinner candles provided but please bring your own candles if required

The traditional Advent wreath is made from evergreens and holds four candles. The wreath is placed on a table. On the 4 Sundays before Christmas, families light their advent candles, with one more candle lit each week, bringing warmth and connection into the winter days leading up to Christmas.

Each candle represents hope, joy, peace and love.
