Do you eat on your feelings and hate yourself afterwards?

Are you trapped in a cycle of emotional overeating and dieting, or of bingeing and then restricting or compulsively exercising?

Do food, your body shape and your weight take up far too much energy and headspace, perhaps stopping you from venturing into dating, enjoying intimate relationships, wearing what you want to wear, having fun on holiday or fulfilling your true potential in your career?

Are you ready to break free from disordered eating and transform your relationship with your body, with food and with your feelings?

This deep-dive online workshop will support you to break the self-sabotaging habit of eating on your emotions and find healthier ways to process your feelings so that food becomes fuel, rather than an emotional crutch, and so that you can live your life free from obsession about your body, your weight or what you do or don't eat.

I know from experience how liberating this is. I spent several decades in a devastating binge-starve-exercise cycle, obsessed about my weight and my body, secretly overeating and then crash dieting or running around the park until everything hurt. My healing journey began more than two decades ago and my weight has been stable for 20 years.

Please note this workshop is not about finding the right diet or attaining a 'perfect' weight or shape, nor do you have to be overweight or have a desire to lose weight to benefit from this workshop. Losing weight for life was my experience but you may simply be hungry for food freedom.

This workshop is about self-love, self-acceptance and breaking free from food and body obsession. It is designed to support you to understand why you eat on your feelings, to give you healthier tools for managing your emotions and to help you to grow in inner peace so that you can let go of your crutch.

In this 90-minute live workshop (also recorded if you can't join live) with Q&A , we'll explore:

- Why you eat on your feelings and what needs you are trying to meet

- How to identify trigger situations and trigger foods

- How to process feelings in healthy way, meet your own needs without self-harm and soothe yourself rather than turn to food or other substances/behaviours for comfort, to numb out or for an emotional release

- How to show yourself forgiveness, compassion and accept yourself exactly as you are (this is key to long-term healing)

- How to make healthy, self-loving choices around food, one day at a time

- How to support yourself and find the right sources of support so that you can maintain a healthy weight for life

Why am I leading this workshop?

From my teens until my 30s, I was trapped in a painful cycle of binge eating, starving, compulsively exercising and yo-yo dieting. Food and weight were a constant obsession. From my late teens until my late twenties, I weighed 2-3 stone (12-19 kg) more than I do now in my fifties. My weight impacted my self-esteem and confidence, my dating experiences and my intimate relationships. I hid my shape beneath baggy clothes and I hated showing my legs and arms. I also damaged my physical health through overeating and undereating.

I began my journey of healing in my thirties and for almost two decades, I have maintained a stable weight. I no longer obsess about my body or the food I eat. I enjoy regular healthy meals along with healthy snacks and occasional treats. I still eat chocolate and cake. I feel free in my body, content in my clothes and happy to wear shorts, sleeveless tops or a swimsuit.

More importantly, I've learned to feel my feelings and process my pain in healthy ways rather than avoid my feelings or numb my pain through food, alcohol, work, harmful relationships with men or other compulsive, self-sabotaging behaviours.

While our long-term healing from emotional overeating will inevitably take time, I hope this workshop will provide breakthroughs and light-bulb moments, alongside an invaluable sense of belonging and of being accepted for who you are. I hope it will help to break any shame you might carry and move you forwards on your healing journey.
