KATI Eco-Art Summer Camps
A creative nature experience for curious, expressive kids Ages 8 - 12
Join us this summer for a series of 3-day eco-art camps at KATI Studio where art, nature, and imagination come together. Each camp blends studio-based creativity with outdoor exploration, giving participants the chance to connect with the natural world while expressing themselves through meaningful, hands-on art.
Guided by KATI’s art therapy–informed approach, these camps support creativity, connection, confidence, emotional expression, and a sense of belonging in nature.
🌞 Camp Details
- 3- day camps (Tues - Thurs)
- $350 per camp offering per child*
- 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Located in Nelson, BC at KATI Art Studio
- Includes daily outdoor nature outings
- Small group sizes for a supportive, engaging experience
We are offering three different camp experiences over 6 weeks.
*You can sign your children up for one or three, or if they would like to take place in all the camps they are more then welcome. 10% discount is offered when you register for all three camps, or you have more than one child registered in three or more camps. Contact marketing@kutenaiarttherapy.com for 10% access code for more than one child in three or more camps, or if you want to join specific camps that are not optioned in the ticket bundle.
🌸 Flora & Fauna Camp
Celebrating life in all its forms
This camp focuses on the beauty and diversity of plants and animals. Participants will create art inspired by local ecosystems, wildlife, and botanical forms, using both natural and studio materials.
From detailed observation to imaginative creations, campers will explore their relationship with the living world while creating vibrant, meaningful artwork.
Week 1 Dates: Tuesday - Thursday, July 7th - 9th | 8:30am-3pm PDT
Week 4 Dates: Tuesday - Thursday, July 28th - 30th | 8:30am-3pm PDT
🌲 Forest Camp
Rooted in wonder and discovery
Step into the forest and explore the textures, patterns, and quiet magic of the trees. In this camp, participants will create art inspired by woodlands, shadows, and natural materials, using sticks, bark, leaves, and found nature-based materials.
Through forest walks and studio time, campers will build sculptures, create earth art, and engage in sensory experiences that deepen their connection to the land.
Week 2 Dates: Tuesday - Thursday, July 14th - 16th | 8:30am-3pm PDT
Week 5 Dates: Tuesday - Thursday, Aug 4th - 6th | 8:30am-3pm PDT
💧 Water Camp
Flow, movement, and imagination
Inspired by lakes, rivers, creeks, and the rhythms of water, this camp invites participants to explore movement, reflection, and fluid creativity. Through painting, mixed media, water play and outdoor exploration, campers will experiment with water as both a subject and a material.
Expect playful, expressive projects that capture the sounds, shapes, and feelings of water, alongside time spent connecting with local waterways.
Week 3 Dates: Tuesday - Thursday, July 21st - 23rd | 8:30am-3pm PDT
Week 6 Dates: Tuesday - Thursday, Aug 11th - 13th | 8:30am-3pm PDT
Subsidies

What to Bring
Essentials
- Backpack (labeled with your child’s name)
- Nut-free lunch and snacks
- Reusable water bottle
- Any required medications (clearly labeled with instructions)
- EpiPen or inhaler (if applicable—must be declared in registration)
Clothing & Outdoor Gear
We spend time both indoors and outdoors, so please send:
- Weather-appropriate clothing (layers recommended)
- Indoor and outdoor shoes (weather dependent)
- Hat (for sun protection)
- Sunscreen (applied before arrival + labeled bottle if reapplication is needed)
- Light jacket or sweater
- Extra change of clothes (especially for younger children or messy play days)
- Rain jacket or boots
- Swimsuit and towel (if joining the Water Camp as water play is included)
Please Do NOT Bring
- Toys or valuables that could be lost or damaged
- Electronic devices (unless otherwise specified)
If there’s anything that helps your child feel more at ease in new environments, we welcome you to include it in their bag or let us know.
