Airborne: A Community Event to Celebrate Birds
Saturday, September 26th, 1-4pm PDT.
Airborne will celebrate birdlife through photography, music, poetry, costume, kite-making, and scientific discussion. A slideshow of stunning photographs will highlight a knowledgeable talk on bird migration, and the beauty and diversity of local and migrating birds will be highlighted through the arts. Participants will be invited to join in on the creativity by crafting colourful bird kites.
Time will be planned so everyone can share stories and information about their common interest in birds. Making kites decorated with bird images will give participants a chance to identify with birds and the sensation of flight, have fun and be creative while getting to know each other better. For birdlovers of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free. This is a drop-in group, however pre-registration is highly recommended.
Big thank you to the Osprey Foundation, who funded this event!
