Gong Sound Healing Bath
Multiple dates and times
The Wiltshire Music Centre, BA15 1DZ
Description
Come and immerse yourself in the serenity of this lovely, peaceful environment. Discover the profound impact of sound on your mental and physical well-being. The enchanting tones and vibrations of gongs and other instruments work harmoniously to bring focus to the mind, soothe the nervous system, and rejuvenate the body.
All are invited – whether you're a seasoned meditator or someone intrigued to explore a gong bath for the first time. The beauty of gong bath meditation lies in its accessibility; no prior experience is needed. (Please refer to the note below for situations where gong baths may not be suitable).
Typically people lie down for a Gong Bath, however there is the option to remain seated on a chair if this is more comfortable for you. If you prefer the chair bring an extra cushion.
What to bring:
Something to lie on, such as a yoga mat(s)
A blanket
A pillow for your head
Something to cover your eyes ( optional)
Spots are very limited to ten people per session.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Gong baths are not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker, or serious heart conditions, anyone who suffers from fits (epileptics), or anyone who is extremely sensitive to sound. They are also not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy due to the unstable nature of pregnancy during that time. They’re not recommended for anyone suffering acute or serious mental health problems. If you wear a hearing aid, your device should be turned off during the session. If you have any concerns, please speak with your doctor in advance.
Who will be leading the session?
The upcoming session will be facilitated by Katy Smith, a graduate of the Gong Practitioner training course with the esteemed College of Sound Healing. In addition to her proficiency in sound healing, Katy holds qualifications as a Life Coach and Personality Practitioner. She consistently updates her skillset through Continuing Professional Development (CPD), underscoring her unwavering commitment to prioritising wellbeing across all facets of her professional practice.
