Expand Your Voice: Classical and Jazz Singing
23-25 October 2026 · Paris (venue to be announced)
Participant ticket sales end OCTOBER 21, 4PM
This workshop is for you if...
You're a classical or classical-leaning singer (legit musical theatre, jazz, vintage styles, crossover) who wants to understand your instrument as well as you use it. Whether you're an opera singer, an art song lover, a jazz aficionado, or crossing over genres, and whether you're a trained professional or still building your foundations, this three-day intensive brings singers into a single shared framework grounded in vocal science, holistic singing principles, and a trauma-informed approach that puts your experience, and your level, at the centre.
Alongside vocal technique, we look at the expressive traditions your repertoire comes from: era, style, and common ornamentation, so your interpretation is as informed as your technique.
All levels welcome!
*****
Why classical and jazz, together?
Classical and jazz singing are often kept quite separate, but they share more than people expect: complex harmony, established approaches to ornamentation and improvisation, and vocal technique that overlaps more than either tradition tends to admit. Working side by side means everyone leaves with a wider toolkit.
*****
What we cover
Day 1 - Your Instrument - An exploration of vocal anatomy. How your voice does what it does!
Day 2 - Your Architecture - Registers, voice types, and how to navigate through your voice.
Day 3 - Your Signature - Style, effects, musicianship, and what makes your voice distinctively yours.
*****
How the days run
Morning sessions run for 3 hours each day as group sessions combining taught content and group singing.
Each afternoon (4 hours + day 3 showcase) includes individual 45-minute coaching sessions, minimum one per participant, using your own repertoire. Sessions are open for observation. Bring music you're currently working on, any level.
We close Day 3 with an informal showcase. We'll learn two simple ensemble songs together across the weekend, with sheet music sent out to all participants in advance, and solo spots are available for anyone who'd like one. No obligation to perform solo.

Health and participation
This workshop involves active singing, movement, and physical engagement with your instrument. If you have any health conditions, injuries, or access needs I should know about, please get in touch before the workshop so I can make sure the space works for you.
If you're unwell on the day, especially with anything affecting your voice or respiratory health, please stay home. Your health and the health of everyone in the room come first. Refunds in this situation are handled on a case-by-case basis, so please contact me as soon as you can.
Photography and recording
I may take photos or short video clips during group sessions for use on my website and social media. You'll fill out a consent form on Day 1 to let me know your preferences. Individual coaching sessions may be recorded for your own personal use. With consent, some of this may also be featured in social media posts (don't worry, only in a way that makes us both look good).
Code of conduct
This workshop runs on a trauma-informed, person-centred approach, and that shapes everything about how we work together. Every participant is expected to treat others and themselves with respect, curiosity, and care. There is no hierarchy of ability in this room, and critical or dismissive comments directed at other participants are not okay. I reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if their behaviour is harmful to the group experience. In that situation, no refund will be issued.
