Breath & Bloom 15 November 2026 · One day · Paris
This day is for you if...
You've been told you can't sing. Your voice has felt far away after a difficult period. Or you're simply curious about what it might feel like to use your voice without any pressure attached to it.
Breath & Bloom is a full-day voice workshop for adults who want to reconnect with their voice rather than perform it. It's part of my Voice and Stagecraft for Wellbeing work, and it sits completely outside the performance-focused workshops by design. There's nothing to prepare, no hierarchy of ability, and no performance expectations of any kind.
You don't need to be a singer to be here. You just need to show up.

How the day runs
The morning centres on breathwork, bodywork (movement), and voicework, following the needs of the group as we go. We won't be rushing anywhere.
The afternoon opens into text exploration, vocal improvisation, and gentle ensemble singing. There will also be solo opportunities for those who'd like them - completely optional, never obligatory.
We close the day with a reflection and sharing circle.
Throughout the day, the piano is played live - improvised and responsive to the room rather than working from a score. It's not accompaniment in the traditional sense. It's part of how the space holds us.
Trauma-informed throughout. Adults only. Maximum 15 participants.

About me
Hi! I'm Kayla Collingwood. I’m a Paris-based professional classical singer and voice educator from New Zealand, with over ten years of teaching experience. My work integrates science-informed vocal technique, stagecraft, and elements from theatre, movement, and wellbeing practices to support confident, expressive communication. I work with both performers and non-performers, and I’m especially passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments where individuals can explore and develop their voice in their own way.
