This walk along the seafront is designed to give you time and space if you’re a business leader and struggling with the following challenges:

  • Wanting to grow your business … and increasingly understanding that the world needs rapid degrowth
  • Feeling pressure from others to grow your business (e.g. other people on the senior leadership team, investors)
  • Wondering what it means to be a successful business leader in a world with degrowth

If this is how you’re feeling then you’re not alone – we're speaking to a lot of business leaders who are grappling with the same challenges.

We’re creating a safe, relaxed space where you can learn from and share with others in a similar position. Please join us for a walk beside the sea before the busy-ness of the Better Business Summit Brighton kicks off.

Whilst leaving plenty of room for conversation and reflection, Hannah will loosely facilitate the walk to help you leave with new ideas, practical actions and in the knowledge you’re not alone.

Building a sustainable responsible business is breaking new ground and often involves doing things differently, breaking business rules – collaboration with other business leaders is essential. This walk has been designed to enable and curate peer-to-peer support.

Note - we will finish the walk at the Projects Nile House, the venue for the Better Business Summit and in plenty of time for you to get settled in for the day.

"Thanks for organising this, it was good to get out in nature. My best conversations are usually side by side."

"It was a really positive start to the day – really good to be out and about in nature and sunshine! I found the structure and prompts to be useful. For me it was heartening to hear that others face the same challenges and obstacles that I can find frustrating."
