Kelsborrow Choir 70th Anniversary Concert with Special Guest Jonathan Scott - in support of The Joshua Tree

Join us for an uplifting evening of music as Kelsborrow Choir celebrates its 70th Anniversary with a gala concert at the beautiful St John the Baptist's Church in the heart of Chester, beside the historic Roman Amphitheatre.

This milestone concert will feature an inspiring programme from Kelsborrow Choir, together with a special guest appearance from internationally-acclaimed concert organist JONATHAN SCOTT. 

Described as “The leading British organist” (BBC Radio 3), Jonathan enjoys a hugely varied international performing career on a diverse spectrum of keyboard instruments, and he is known throughout the world for his virtuoso arrangements and performances of major orchestral music for the pipe organ.

As Associate Artist of The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, Jonathan gives a series of organ recitals which attract huge audiences, and with his brother, Tom, his performance videos on the Scott Brother Duo YouTube channel have achieved more than 100 million views, making them some of the most watched in the world.

In the magnificent acoustic of St John's, this promises to be a memorable evening of powerful choral and organ music.

However, this celebration concert is about much more than music.

We are proudly supporting The Joshua Tree, a remarkable local charity that provides bespoke programmes of support to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of children affected by childhood cancer, and their families. The charity’s work makes an enormous difference to families facing incredibly difficult circumstances.
