We are #KCHFTProud to mark 20 years of LGBT History Month with a celebratory learning experience - and everybody is welcome.

Hosted by our LGBTQ+ staff network, the free informal event will feature guest speakers debating this year’s theme: Activism and social change.

The conference is open to all clinical and non-clinical NHS system-wide colleagues, and partners from the Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Health and Wellbeing Alliance, who have an interest in, or connection to, the LGBTQ+ community.

Our Headline speaker this year is multi award-winning trans activist, journalist and freelance sex educator Dee Whitnell.

They work with global brands and organisations, providing insight into sex education, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, the trans+ and neurodivergent experience and queer media.

Director of Student Experience and Senior Lecturer in Film Production, School of Creative Arts and Industries, Canterbury Christ Church University, Dr Liz Samson will talk about gender and sexuality in the context of leadership.

Our Sexual Health Team will discuss their outreach work with local LGBTQ+ people.

Updates from Nobody left behind, our people, equity, diversity and inclusion strategy, will be shared by our Workforce EDI Team.

You are welcome to stay all, or part of the, day.

Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided.
