We are so excited to welcome you to Owensboro, the Bluegrass music and Barbecue capitals of the world, for the 2024 KASL Summer Refresher.

All of our sessions will take place at Apollo High School on Monday, July 8, and Tuesday, July 9.

On Monday, participants will have the opportunity to choose from among several one and one half hour sessions in order to earn 3 hours of PD credit for the day. Kimberly Young, the Demco Book Doctor, will be a featured presenter. In addition, attendees will have the option to tour the Bluegrass Hall of Fame and Museum located in downtown Owensboro.

On Tuesday, we will offer a variety of one-hour sessions as well as an opening keynote address. Once again, we will offer a virtual Summer Refresher option. Participants will be able to watch 6 pre-recorded sessions that are being presented in person. There will be no live content included in the virtual option.

New York Times best-selling author Alan Gratz, author of 19 books for young readers, will be our keynote speaker and will be available for a book signing session. The only way to see Mr. Gratz and get books signed is to attend the conference in person!

KASL members will receive a code for 1/2 price registration for both days via email. Tuesday presenters will receive a code for a 50% discount in mid-April. If you need a PO before then, please complete your requisition for the full-price option that describes you best (member, non-member, or student). If your proposal is accepted, you will receive a code that unlocks the option to choose presenter pricing for $30.
