In October last year, Lavinia Eloise Bruce staged her first solo choreographic work in an artist’s private Manhattan apartment. A year later, No Furniture relocates to the large studio at Kestrels. Where previously the work had emerged in tension with its site and setting, this re-articulation, this repetition-with-a- difference, releases the piece from its previous confines.
