Below the Belt is a free, online event designed to take the stigma and embarrassment away from the need to talk about and regularly check men’s private parts. Kettering General Hospital's Emergency Urology Nurse Practitioner, Janine Cullen, will talk about signs to look out for and ways to manage symptoms.
The event will be introduced by hospital governor, Peter Woolliscroft, a champion of the importance of men's health. This informal and engaging talk will invite people to ask questions in advance (and anonymously if preferred) and attendees can also use the chat function in TEAMS to ask a question.
As Janine Cullen says, "By knowing and learning to spot the early signs of cancer and other problems, men and their partners can potentially save themselves from intensive and sometimes life-changing health problems. Everyone has something ‘below the belt’, so let’s start checking ourselves regularly".
