The seventh King’s Health Partners Primary Care Webinar of 2024 is titled 'Disability awareness through the lenses of disability: A journey of challenges, resilience and triumph'.

The webinar will be chaired by Dr Rachna Chowla, Joint Director of Clinical Strategy, King's Health Partners.

Speakers:

  • Gavin Dean, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead, Kings College Hospital NHS FT, and Co-Chair, Kings Able (Staff Disability Network)
  • Dr Nedah Darabi, General Practitioner, Villa Street Medical Centre

Gavin Dean and Nedah Darabi draw on their own unique experiences as disabled individuals working in primary and secondary healthcare.

Through the lenses of their own lived experience, they discuss and explore why being disability aware and confident is fundamentally important in creating a positive and inclusive culture for disabled staff and patients.

This will be an online event and the session will be recorded for later viewing on the King's Health Partners learning hub.
