AGOG presents Pointillism Workshop with Delreé Dumont

Join us for an evening of art, culture, and connection with celebrated pointillism artist, Delreé Dumont (Wàpiski Kihéw Esquao – White Eagle Woman). Delreé is Plains Cree and a proud member of Onion Lake Cree Nation who has been painting full time for 11 years. Delreé is recognized for her contemporary use of this technique, transforming tiny individual dots of colour into vibrant, powerful images that tell stories rooted in Indigenous experiences.

In this workshop:

• Learn the history and basics of pointillism and how Delreé adapted it into her unique style.
• Over four relaxed hours, you’ll be guided through the art of pointillism.
• Explore blending and layering of the dots to create depth and movement.
• Receive guided instruction to begin their own painting, with one on one support by Delreé
• Engage in conversation about how art can be a tool for storytelling, healing and cultural expression
• Delreé will bring her paintings to show her different techniques

The session is designed for all skill levels – whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter, you will leave with techniques, inspiration, and a personal piece of artwork that reflects your own creative journey. All materials provided.
