Supporting children and young people to manage anxiety, stress and overwhelm
Wed 7 May 2025 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM BST
Online, Zoom
Description
[This training session was previously delivered as 'Understanding and supporting children and young people impacted by trauma']
Our training will provide professionals or parent/carers with an understanding of young people impacted by trauma.
Join us for this online course delivered by Sue Bell OBE DL, an experienced therapist and qualified attachment and trauma resolution specialist, and Helen Robins, an integrative child and adolescent psychotherapist at Kids Inspire.
This will be an interactive session exploring trauma recovery interventions and the arts. Reduce trauma symptoms in young people to improve their capacity for learning, joy, resilience, self-regulation, and social relationships.
Learn how to:
- recognise behaviours triggered by traumatic experiences
- understand how our brains keep us safe
- how we respond to trauma
- and learn some tools for stabilisation
We ask participants to have paper, coloured pens/pencils, playdough/clay and pillows/blankets available to make themselves comfortable.
We offer this training session for a nominal booking fee of £10*. This fee helps us cover administrative costs and contributes to the trainer's time, ensuring we can continue to provide high-quality educational sessions. Thank you for your support!
*Kindly note that in the event of a refund, standard transaction fees will be deducted from the amount refunded.
We are unable to record our sessions due to confidentiality and the sensitive nature of topics discussed.
