Description
Fancy getting outside with the kids and helping nature on your doorstep? Come along to our FREE event and plant some fruit trees at Blaxton Playing Field and Park on Sunday 23rd February.
We're running a 2-hour event from 10.30am-12.30pm where our tree experts will show you how to plant the trees. All equipment will be provided.
Refreshments will be provided and there will be an activity where you can plant your own acorn in a pot to take home to help grow.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is organised by Kids Plant Trees and kindly funded by Blaxton Parish Council through an Environmental Pride grant.

Please wear suitable clothing for staying warm, and possible wet weather. We strongly advise wearing sturdy, waterproof shoes such as walking boots or wellies.
All equipment will be provided including gloves for adults and children, and spades.
Refreshments provided - hot and cold drinks, and biscuits. Please bring a reusable cup for drinks if you can.

We are planting trees on a grassy area, which may be uneven, and also wet and muddy depending on the weather. Please let us know when you book if you have any access requirements.
We want everyone to feel welcome at our events and have experience of working with children with special needs. If you want to discuss anything with us before the event, please let us know when you book.
Booking:
This is a FREE event but please book a ticket for everyone attending, including children (except babes in arms). If you book tickets but are then unable to attend, please email us at Admin@kidsplanttrees.org to let us know, so we can reissue the tickets. If you would like to make a small donation to support our work, you can do this at time of booking or at the event (thank you).
If you have any questions about the event before you book, please email Admin@kidsplanttrees.org or call the event organiser Annie on the day on 07517 181074.
