Writing Our Way To Brigid offers participants an opportunity to explore what Brigit/Brigid means to them through a series of creative writing workshops and readings. It takes place from February 2023 to October 2023.

Dr Shauna Gilligan has spent a number of years immersed in archives re-creating Brigid in fiction/essays, published as Mantles thanks to Kildare Co Co/Creative Ireland bursary in 2021 and an Arts Act Award in 2022. She teaches creative writing in further and higher education (Maynooth University). Writing Our Way To Brigid invites any person interested in exploring the heritage of Brigit/Brigid through discussion/ writing. Creative writing workshops will use symbols/ representations of Brigid from Mantles as prompts, and culminate in a public reading where participants will read/perform their writing. https://shaunagilliganwriter.com/about/
