Women’s and Girls’ Health Hub Co-Design Workshop: Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham
Thu 17 Oct 2024 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Appleby Blue Almshouse, 94-116 Southwark Park Rd., London SE16 3RD, SE16 3RD
Description
We are excited to invite you to our in-person co-design workshop aimed at shaping the future of Women’s and Girls’ health services in South East London. This initiative stems from the National Women’s and Girls’ Health Strategy, published in 2022, which set a clear mandate to enhance the quality and accessibility of health services for women and girls across the country. Following the strategy’s publication, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) were allocated funding to establish specialised hubs that would deliver eight core services: menstrual problems assessment and treatment, menopause, contraceptive counselling and provision, preconception care, breast pain assessment and care, pessary fitting and removal, cervical screening and screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
At this workshop, we seek your invaluable insights as commissioners, providers across the acute and community sectors, and leaders in the voluntary and community sectors. Your expertise on existing services, identification of gaps and overlaps, and innovative ideas will be critical in designing a hub model that not only improves but transforms our current services. We’ll explore how to integrate these services seamlessly, create a hub model that truly meets the community’s needs, and discuss the kind of workforce and training necessary to support these efforts. Together, we can develop a blueprint for a hub model that sets a new standard in women’s and girls’ health care.
