Workshops are a fun way of learning a new skill in a friendly and encouraging environment, meeting new people and having something you have made to take home with you.
Macrame is a relaxing and therapeutic craft that keeps your hands busy and gives your mind time to rest. If you would like some macrame or know a friend that would there is nothing more satisfying than making it yourself.
Join Jen and learn the basics of this historic craft while creating your own plant hanger from start to finish.
Material cost for this workshop is £5 payable to the tutor on the day.
Jen is a self taught crafter specialising in macrame, she has always had a passion for crafts especially learning traditional techniques. Originally from Ireland Jen moved to Bristol, UK in 2012 and set up her small business K&S at the end of 2013.
Jen’s macrame adventure started when she wanted to make plant pot hangers for some of her houseplants. A friend showed Jen the basic knots and then she began to teach herself more advanced macrame techniques. Now Jen specialises in plant pot hangers but also makes and sells a range of wall hangings, accessories and home-wares as well as being a workshop facilitator.
Passing on the skills she has learnt has become a new passion, Jen has been running both public and private macrame workshops on a regular basis since Spring 2015. This has given her a lot of experience and she likes to think her classes are a relaxing and fun way to get creative and learn a new skill.
