Please join us, February 26th -- March 1st, 2025, for the 24th annual performance of the King's Players melodrama, presented at the Olde Glory Theatre in Seward, Nebraska! Concessions are available before the show and during the intermission. Show times are at 7 pm each evening with matinees on Friday and Saturday at 2 pm. Our shows tend to sell out very quickly . . .so please note. . . get your tickets as soon as possible!
Start Time: Concessions open an hour prior to the performance. Theatre doors open for seating 30 minutes prior to showtime.
Seats are assigned on a first come, first served basis. To avoid additional ticketing costs, attendees will not be able to "choose" seats or view a seating chart. Seats are assigned as tickets are purchased and our parent volunteers will use a seating chart at the door to direct attendees to their assigned seats. Attempts will be made to seat groups together if possible, but it cannot be guaranteed due to the format of our ticketing platform. Please understand, if you cancel your seats and reschedule for a different show time, you are effectively agreeing to go to the "end of the line" regarding seating -- and your new seats are likely going to be further from the front and center of the theatre.
Please Note: Ticketing changes cannot be made during show week! All ticketing will close on Sunday, February 23rd.
We want to provide a good experience for all our drama families. Each year we have a parent in charge of the ticketing! It is a challenging job to say the least. Please be patient with our volunteer's! Parents volunteer their time and energy to help us create a good experience for the audience. If you experience any issues please call Bryan Miller at 402-761-0405. If you have any special needs or need alternative seating, (wheel chair accessibility, etc.) please let us know when booking your ticket.
About this year's Melodrama:
"A tongue-in-cheek, uproarious meller-drammer with no redeeming social value whatsoever. Escapist entertainment! Loaded with laughs and comic delight for cast, audience and long-suffering light guys alike. The play opens with our lovely heroine, Idabel Treason, arriving in New York City after a childhood life in the country. She has recently inherited a massive mansion . . . and she is determined to turn it into a house of refuge for the unfortunate souls of New York. She meets Jacob Riis, the famous photographer, and they fall madly in love. Enter our dastardly villain, Clarence-Claude Van Cleesf III, who knows something the two love-birds do not--there is a fortune's worth of Gold in the mansion!
