What time are you expecting us?

Given the weather forecast isn't too cheerful we are only expecting the truly hardy to be up for the Garden Games. There is a large covered balcony and the bar will be open from 5pm. See below for more details.

Who can come to the event?

The event is for all athletes, coaches, team managers, officials, volunteers and otherwise friends and family of K&P – past and present. You will need a ticket to attend.

Is there an official Dress Code?

There is no official dress code. However It's a party so we're not expecting you to turn up fresh from doing DIY or digging in your garden. We just want you there to celebrate the club’s anniversary so come in whatever you consider party attire.

What is the Postcode?

Kingston Island (Raven’s Ait), Portsmouth Road, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey. The ferry pick up location is KT6 4HH Westfield Landing Car Park.

How do we get on to the island?

Ravens Ait have three launches that will be in operation to ferry you across. These will be available throughout the event to cater for both later arrivals and any families with young children wishing to leave early.

5pm to 11:30pm? Do I have to be there for the whole thing?

The event has been planned around the evening dinner dance but the island is available to us from 5pm. Why not arrive early and make the most of the lovely riverside garden? It’s our 40th anniversary after all.

Meeting drinks will be served from 5pm at our bar in the Brittania Room - head there once you're off the ferry. There will be a choice of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic meeting drink for the Adult Menu ; Non-alcoholic for the Youth Menu. You don't need to determine that till you get there.

Play some garden games and enjoy the riverside bar.

What if we want to leave early?

The boat service will run throughout the event. We realise some families with younger children might not want to stay to the bitter end.

What are the menu options?

When do we make our menu selections?

We will send out a Google Form nearer to the event with the final list of options. Your menu selection will be printed out on your place setting name card.

Can my child go on their own?

The rules of the venue require every person under 18 years old to be accompanied by an adult.

Each child ticket will require the name of the adult that is nominated to be in charge of that person. The adult doesn't have to be the parent or guardian of the child concerned - they just have to be willing to be the one looking after them on the day / night.

The responsible adult's name will be collected for every child ticket purchased.

What if my child prefers the Adult Menu?

The Junior tickets are cheaper because they will select from the Kids Menu. If your young athlete has a hearty appetite or just prefers the Adult Menu they can purchase an Adult Ticket.

Is the seating set?

There will be a table plan. We will ask people who they would like to sit with nearer the event.

My kids want to sit with their friends and I'd like to sit with some other adults? Is this possible? We are expecting every option in terms of seating. Families who want to sit together; Athletes who want to sit together with others from their team or training group; Parents who spent years at league meetings together.
