Cycling Treasure Hunt
Enjoy a fun cycling adventure suitable for all the family and raise funds for Kinross-shire Trishaws and Community Cycling.

£5 per person (short route) , £10 per family (short route), £10 per person (long route), £15 per family (long route). Please note there is also a £0.50 booking fee charged by the platform. Young people aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Join us for a fun Cycling Treasure Hunt, where you'll pedal through beautiful local countryside, solving clues and hunting down hidden treasures. Enter as an individual or as a family. It's all about teamwork, fun, and a bit of friendly competition. Prizes for the first 10 correct answers drawn out of the hat at the end of the day.

What time should I arrive?
Registration begins at 09:45am. Participants can set off any time between 10am and 11am.
Will the event be on if it is raining?
Yes, the event will be on unless there is a weather warning. Please come dressed for the Scottish weather.
What kind of bike should I bring?
The family treasure hunt is almost entirely on traffic free paths. There is one road to cross. The route is suitable for hybrid, gravel, mountain bikes, tricycles, and ebikes (which should comply with UK ebike legislation)
What time does the event end?
The event ends at 2pm. Please be back at the Boathouse car park by 2pm.
What should I do if I am unable to complete the event?
Please let us know you have left the event so that we are not out looking for you. Please call 07435 223101 and if you leave a message, please tell us your name.
How difficult is this route?
You should be confident that you have sufficient fitness to complete this route at a gentle pace. It's not a race and you have plenty of time to stop and admire the views. The family route is almost entirely flat. The longer route has some inclines.
What should I bring with me?
Sunscreen, clothing suitable for Scottish weather, a drink and snack for yourself, eye protection/sunglasses, a well-maintained bike, an inner tube/puncture repair kit.
What happens if my bike has a mechanical issue or puncture?
This is a self-supported event. Please ensure your bike is in good working order.
Who wins the prizes?
We will enter all the correct entries into a hat and draw 10 prize winners at the end of the day. All participants that complete the event will receive a water bottle as a memento.
Is there a café at the end?
Yes, the Pink Foot cafe is based in the Boathouse car park and it will be open between 10am and 5pm
What age does my child have to be to participate without an adult.
Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or somebody acting ‘in loco parentis’; there is no younger age limit for accompanied children.
Young people aged 13 and over may ride unaccompanied and should provide an emergency contact number for their parent/guardian.
