KJ Krochet

KJ Krochet is a community-led crochet experience based in Abbey Wood, SE London. We run monthly workshops for beginners finding their feet and communal sessions for those who just want to stitch, connect and breathe. Two ways to join. One community.

KJ Krochet was born out of personal experience. I'm KJ — a fashion graduate, creator and community builder based in Abbey Wood, SE London.

Living with ADHD, I discovered crochet as more than just a craft. It became a tool for focus, calm and mindfulness — something to anchor my mind while my hands stayed busy. And at the end of it, something beautiful to show for it. That combination changed things for me, and I knew it could do the same for others.

With four years of presenting experience and a lifelong passion for creating, I wanted to build a space that went beyond just teaching stitches. KJ Krochet is about intentional making — slowing down, being present and finding community in the process.

Every session is designed with mindfulness at its heart. Whether you're here to learn the basics or simply show up and stitch alongside others, you'll leave feeling grounded, connected and creatively fulfilled.

KJ Krochet sits under Mughami — a brand rooted in heritage and identity. Mughami is my traditional Nigerian name, and everything created under it carries that sense of cultural pride, warmth and intention. From handcrafted pieces to community experiences, Mughami is the thread that ties it all together.

We are rooted in Abbey Wood and proud of it. This is community, craft and calm — all in one room.
