A Baffin Vacation (12 mins) - Most summer holidays don’t involve skiing hundreds of kilometres over a frozen fjord in the Arctic Circle, but adventurers Erik Boomer and Sarah McNair-Landry are not most people. On a romantic getaway with a difference, the duo set off on a 45-day expedition through the remote landscape of Baffin Island in Canada, in search of stunning cliffs to climb and unexplored rivers to white-water kayak.
Benched (9 mins) - This is the story of a female professional athlete and new mother faced with the challenge of corporate politics coupled with societal norms. When four-time U.S. mountain bike champion and professional cyclist Sonya Looney posted an Instagram video of herself riding a mini pump track in British Columbia she drew criticism. Sonya was 40 weeks pregnant and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy a few days later.
The Most Psyched (10 mins) - Dylan Soin is the most Psyched person you will ever meet. Born in England, he emigrated to Australia when he was 4 years old, and he started climbing at only 9 years of age. He can proudly say he has “bouldered his age”, after sending Deep Blue Sea, one of the iconic V12/13 boulders in Sydney, and he is currently projecting 33s/8C.
Always Higher (12 mins) - Lysanne Richard is one of the world’s best competition high divers. But the 39 years-old Canadian mother of three is ready to start focusing on personal projects of her own. First on the list is a 22 meter high dive in the dead of winter over a frozen lake, a feat that has never been done.
Circumnavigate (40 mins) - Tragedies in former lifeguard Brendon Prince's past forced a huge change in his life to pursue water safety education. But in the pursuit of raising awareness for this cause he must put his own life at risk, pushing his limits and attempting something that no one has ever accomplished before.
Ismael - With The Wind (4 mins) - Ismael is a local kite surfer from Zanzibar who overcame a humble background to set up the first kite-surf school for locals.
Can't Stop Won't Stop (9 mins) - In the heart of Virginia, the Richmond Cycling Corps (RCC) is hard at work connecting with local youth and helping them discover the power of cycling. RCC Director Matt Kuhn has built an incredible community of young cyclists and has helped kids find their way as aspiring engineers, professional racers, and influential community members.
Lapporten Skyline (48 mins) - Described as the gateway to Lapland, the Lapporten Gap is one of the most photographed natural landforms in Sweden… but some of the world’s top highliners have grander ambitions. They plan to put up a two-kilometre long highline across this iconic gap between snow-capped mountains and walk across, 600m above the ground. If they succeed, it will be a new world record.
Risk is Reward (4 mins) - Vancouver-based mountain biker Steve Vanderhoek is a model of dedication, balancing his full-time job as a firefighter with his passion for trail building and riding. When he’s not battling blazes and keeping his community safe, he's building some of the most progressive lines in existence. |
