This is an ideal opportunity to learn about the extensive mind of compassion and how we can engage in practices and meditation to improve our experience and understanding of this invaluable mind. For those with experience, it is a dedicated opportunity to deepen their experience. Attend as many or few of the sessions as you choose.

Compassion is a joyous mind that wishes others to be free from suffering, and over the weekend we will explore this mind – how we develop it, hold it and practice it. We will involve ourselves in the practices of Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhas.

During the Friday evening introduction Gen Kelsang Dragden, Resident Teacher at KMC Plymouth, will provide an overview of compassion and the practices we can easily engage in, whilst on the Saturday, he will lead us in guided meditations on the mind of compassion. On the Sunday, we will use our compassion to engage in Powa practice - a practice for transferring the consciousness of those who have recently died to a Pure Land where they will be free from all suffering.

Session 1: 10am Wishfulfilling Jewel Prayers with offerings
