We all know what it feels like to have a craving or strong desire to have or do something, and many people suffer from some kind of addiction. We may find ourselves simply having to watch a TV programme without fail or always needing to have that special morning coffee whilst scrolling through social media. At the other extreme, we can of course also become entwined with addictions which cause us and others great harm.
However, by using the profound teachings of Buddha and effective meditations we can learn how to overcome the compulsive ways of thinking and acting which compel us to seek satisfaction from the deceptive sources we think make us happy.
Whether we struggle with food, intoxicants, social media, relationships, or any form of addictive behaviour, this event will help us gain insight into these pervasive and painful mental habits. Through deepening our understanding and experience of Buddha’s timeless wisdom, we can gradually transform and free ourselves from these uncomfortable minds.
Everyone is welcome, suitable for beginners and those with experience of meditation.
