This course will look at how we can put Buddhist teachings and meditation into practice in our modern, busy lives. No one wishes to suffer, yet problems and sufferings occur without our trying to find them. We all wish to be happy yet our experience of happiness is often infrequent and short-lived. Buddhist teachings and meditations give practical, scientific methods to enable people to understand their own minds and the true causes of happiness and problems. It also gives simple methods to reduce and finally eliminate the causes for unhappiness from within so that we can learn to increase the frequency and duration of our own happiness and freedom from problems.
