Workshop: Photography walk with Sylvie Belbouab

About this event

Take to the streets of Bow with documentary photographer Sylvie Belbouab, exploring how spaces and places connect with the air we breathe, all through the lens of your camera phone.

No experience necessary, you will learn how to frame shots, composition skills, connect with others and explore how photography is a powerful tool for visual story telling. All you need is your phone camera.

The Sunday workshop is a family friend session, suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

About Syvlie Belbouab

Sylvie Belbouab is a documentary photographer based in Newham, London. She began her photographic journey shooting on film as a teenager, and draws ongoing inspiration from humanist photographers and their focus on everyday life and connection.

Her work centres on storytelling, collaborating with diverse groups and organisations to visually document their experiences and communities. Alongside her practice, she leads photography workshops and guided walks, encouraging others to explore self-expression through the lens.

Access

This workshops involves gentle walking around Bow with some stops. 

The Nunnery Gallery has step-free access throughout from street level, including to the accessible toilet, and is service animal friendly. This venue does not have a hearing loop system.
