KPUM Law Career Convention Malaysia 2026

The Law & ADR Career Convention (LCC) is an event organised by the United Kingdom & Eire Malaysian Law Students' Union (KPUM), in association with the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), designed to remind students that a career in law is not only about keeping up with the latest trends in the profession, but also about understanding the purpose behind the law itself. It provides a platform for students to engage with judges, legal practitioners, employers, and industry professionals, offering practical exposure to the realities of entering the legal industry.

This year's theme, "Precedents & Possibilities: Exploring Judicial Perspectives and Career Horizons in the Law", reflects the way the legal profession stands between established legal foundations and the changing realities of society. Law is shaped by principles, institutions, and judicial decisions developed over time, but it must also respond to new challenges, expectations, and opportunities within the legal industry. The convention aims to deepen participants' understanding of both the role of the judiciary in upholding the rule of law and the evolving possibilities within legal practice.
