Wandering in Warleggan - Warleggan Manor Maps Walk
Join us on Bodmin Moor for a short evening walk and talk at Warleggan Common and Carburrow Tor with Iain Rowe from Cornwall National Landscape and the Kresen Kernow manor maps team. As part of the Mapping the Past for the Future project activity, we will be looking at the late 18th century Warleggan manor map in relation to the area today and what came before it.
Places are limited so booking is essential. Everyone attending needs their own ticket.
Important information
We will be walking on rough, uneven ground, climbing over stiles and will be climbing up to Carburrow Tor.
The walk is approximately 3 miles and is not suitable for young children.
Start time: 6.30pm
End time: 8.30pm
Participants must dress for the weather conditions – wear wellies/walking boots, long trousers (it’s tick season and we will be walking through bracken), also remember your hat, insect repellent, sun cream, walking sticks.
Participants must bring any medication that may be needed during the activity, and also an emergency contact name and number.
We will not be providing drinks and refreshments, so do bring your own.
Dogs are not permitted.
If we need to cancel the event on the day because of adverse weather, we will email attendees by 4pm.
