Introductory Mushroom Cultivation Workshop

Join us for a 2-hour introductory mushroom cultivation workshop covering techniques that can be used in the cultivation of a variety of mushrooms.

The course will cover basic mycology topics such as:

• how to build and properly use a Still Air Box
• how to sterilize grain and substrate
• how to inoculate your grow medium
• which grains and substrates you should use for which strain of mushrooms
• how to properly care for you mushrooms as they colonize and grow
• how to fruit your mushrooms and when to harvest them
• how to identify and prevent common types of contamination

You will be instructed on everything you need to know to have successful results growing mushrooms in your own home without any expensive equipment, so you can grow mushrooms in the most cost effective way.

This is a hands-on workshop, and you will also get to go home with your own mushroom grow bag, which you have inoculated yourself, to get you started on your journey.
