Rotary’s Bigger Purpose: Empowering Members to Create Lasting Impact

District Governor Brady Connell brings a distinctive combination of creativity, service, and collaborative leadership to District 5280. A member and past president of the Rotary Club of Playa Venice Sunrise, Brady has led district Rotary projects ranging from the construction of Habitat for Humanity homes to a recovery initiative following the Los Angeles wildfires. He has also served as a Big Brother for more than 25 years through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.

Brady is a two-time Emmy Award-winning television producer whose career has included some of television’s most recognized programs. He helped launch Survivor and The Amazing Race, served as executive producer of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and has been executive producer and showrunner of ABC’s The Great Christmas Light Fight.

During his presentation, Brady will share a broader perspective on what Rotary makes possible locally and around the world. He will explore how Rotary’s respected name, club network, district resources, and Foundation grants empower individual members to recognize problems and turn empathy into action. From helping one classroom to supporting major international initiatives, every Rotary project can reduce hardship, strengthen communities, and contribute to a more peaceful world.

Join us for an inspiring and energizing look at why Rotary matters—and the remarkable difference each Rotarian has the power to make.
