19th Annual Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby

Saturday, February 27, 2027 | Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba

The Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby is one of Manitoba’s largest charitable ice fishing events, bringing together anglers, families, volunteers, local businesses, and visitors for an exciting day on the ice—all in support of our community.

For 19 years, the Derby has been building a strong tradition of community spirit, generosity, and giving back. We are proud to be one of Lac du Bonnet’s largest contributors to community funding, supporting local initiatives through grants, bursaries, donations, volunteer support, and community projects.

Making a Lasting Difference

In 2026, the Derby surpassed $1 million in total contributions, reaching an incredible $1,035,873 in cash, prizes, and community contributions. To date, more than 110 community projects have benefited from the Derby’s support, with $294,065 reinvested directly into Lac du Bonnet and surrounding communities.

In 2026 alone, more than $28,000 was returned to the community through grants, bursaries, and volunteer support. These achievements reflect the generosity of our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and supporters who help make our mission possible.
