Cement Objects & Pots Workshop by La Chaise at Natural Law

A calm, hands-on workshop exploring cement, silicone moulds and small pot-making.

In this workshop, we will play with the raw beauty of cement to create small handmade objects, decorative pieces and mini plant pots. Participants will learn how to mix cement safely, prepare moulds, pour the material, create simple shapes, add texture or pigment, and understand the drying and finishing process.

The idea is to slow down, get out of the house, meet new people and create something with your hands. Through a simple material like cement, we will explore form, patience and the beauty of imperfect handmade objects.

Each participant will create one small cement pot or one decorative object using silicone moulds or simple handmade moulding techniques. Because cement needs time to fully cure, pieces may need to be collected later or taken home carefully with drying instructions further in the week.

What’s included

All basic materials are included: cement, moulds, mixing tools, pigments, gloves, sanding materials and guidance throughout the process.

You will learn:

– how to use silicone moulds

– how to add pigment, texture or a raw finish
– how to safely unmould, sand and finish your piece

Snacks and drinks will be provided during the workshop.

What’s not included

Plants are not included.
Pieces may not be completely dry by the end of the workshop, so they may need to be picked up later or taken home carefully to finish drying.
