Jazz Wednesdays - Maiya Sykes

Jazz Wednesdays is Laguna Live!’s intimate concert series showcasing world-class musicians and an eclectic mix of jazz performances in the excellent performance setting of Ivan’z House at Mozambique in Laguna Beach.

Maiya Sykes is a powerhouse vocalist whose career spans jazz, soul and R&B. A Yale graduate and classically trained singer, she studied with the legendary Nina Simone and Betty Carter and has performed with artists including Macy Gray, Michael Bublé, Joss Stone and The Black Eyed Peas. Featured in the Oscar-winning film La La Land and recently appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Maiya performs for audiences around the world, and brings her full band to Jazz Wednesdays.
