About our evening
What does it take to make a place feel like a village again? Join us for an evening with ReVillage, a West Sonoma County initiative exploring how shared spaces, local economies, food, culture, and everyday gathering can help us build deeper relationships with the places we call home. ReVillage works through two aligned organizations: ReVillage Foundation, the nonprofit behind the new Graton Town Square, and ReVillage Development, which builds community-serving businesses and new models of local ownership.
We’ll be joined by Matt Jorgensen and Tori Immel, ReVillage co-founders and two of the four co-founders behind Graton Station, ReVillage Development’s first social venture: a community-owned cafe, preservatory, and gathering space taking shape in the heart of Graton. Together, they’ll invite us into a conversation about the “village layer” of modern life: What are we missing when we lose our shared places? What makes a community resilient? And what might we create if we began designing our towns around belonging, connection, and the simple act of showing up for one another?
About the meal
Meet Graton Station’s other two co-founders, Chefs Adrian Apana and Ferrell Carter, and their food project, Preservatory. After years working in some of California’s most acclaimed kitchens, they turned toward something more rooted in place: taking the abundance of Sonoma County farms and gardens and giving it a longer life through preservation, fermentation, and creative cooking. Preservatory, a joint venture with Graton Station, is both a food project and a philosophy, asking what becomes possible when we waste less, honor what the land gives us, and bring the skills of great cooking back into the everyday life of a community.
Transparency about the cost
Part of cultural repair includes being transparent about money, so we all know how economics are circulated. Your payment includes drinks, dinner, a salon style cultural presentation and a lively exchange in an emerging local arts and culture venue. Funds cover food and chef costs, as well as use of the venue, and supplies for hosting the dinner. This is a volunteer run event - organizers do not make money on this event. 10% of the revenue will be donated to the featured organization. For those who are able, we thank you for choosing the higher end of the scale.
