What was it like to grow up in the Lake Bluff Children's Home? Come listen to a former resident share memories of the place that was a haven for thousands of children in the 20th century.
This presentation is part of Lake Bluff History Museum's “Chautauqua-style” programs series — a format rooted in the village’s history as a popular late-19th century summer resort known as the Lake Bluff Camp Meeting. The resort was a premier site for the Chautauqua movement, a unique American tradition that blended entertainment, community debate and religious education.
