PA Day Camp - Online, Friday November 20th, 2020

Lakeshore Arts Pa Day Camp will take place virtually this year on November 20th, featuring two workshops that will take place over Zoom, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Participants will be sent a link in advance and use the link provided to log in the workshops and take part from their own homes. The required materials list can be found below, most of which can be found around the home, and if not, can be purchased in advance by parents/guardians from a dollar store or discount store (if sourcing materials is an issue please email matt@lakeshorearts.ca).

Ages: 8-12

Max # Participants: 20. You will be notified by email if you have been placed on the waitlist.

Fee: pay-what-you-can, $15 as a suggested donation.

“Keith Haring Pop Up Paper Dance Party”

Description:

“Put on your dancing shoes and join us for this fun and playful pop-up craft paper dance party project. In this workshop participants will learn how to construct colourful 3d paper sculptures, inspired by New York pop artist Keith Haring, and make them come to still life.”

Required Materials:

• Plain white paper or bristol board
• Variety of coloured bristol or construction paper
• Scissors
• Glue stick or Glue bottle
• Marker
• Pencil
• Eraser

Afternoon Workshop: 1:00pm - 2:15pm

“Fossil Making”

Description:

“In this workshop, participants are going to learn how fossils are made- and make some themselves. Using leaves and other things that can be found around the house, participants will make imprints that can be hung inside or buried to be dug up outside. We will also be looking at fossils found across Canada to learn a little bit about where they're often hiding and how they got there.”

Required Materials:

• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup salt
• 3/4 cup water
