Lakeshore Arts is presenting a live-stream spoken-word event showcasing the brilliant participants of our QSummit Mentorship Program! For the past ten weeks, 2SLGBTQIA+ and allied youth ages 16 to 21 have been exploring the art of writing poetry and spoken word pieces while honing the power of using their own unique perspectives in their work.
Please join us in celebrating the launch of their Poetry Anthology, a collection of their work which they will perform selected pieces. There will also be a community segment highlighting more creative young voices. The Anthology will be accessible by download after the event.
The QSummit program was facilitated by artists Emily Dial and Cassandra Myers to support 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and allies in creating a safe space for creative exploration and self expression. This program is generously supported by the Johansen-Larsen Foundation and presented with the Rexdale Community Health Clinic.
